PLATO® Pathways Downloads
Instructions for Downloading Files
- Click the name of the file you want to download.
- If a box with options to open or save the file to disk appears, choose Save to Disk.
- Save the file to a location or folder, such as My Documents or the Desktop.
Note: Some of these files require a ZIP compression utility, such as Windows Vista/XP or WinZip, in order to unzip and run them.
DOSWINKY.ZIP (Zip 2K - 3/20/98)
Windows Kernel Toy, Disables Windows logo key while in PLATO; for Windows 95/98 workstations only. Instructions
LOCKCLR.ZIP (Zip 187K - 1/6/03)
For Pathways versions 3.9.3 through 4.1; the Lock Clear Utility searches the Pathways workstation and system for lock files that are held open after a user exits improperly or a workstation crashes. The utility searches for INTERLCK.*, PDOXUSRS.NET, PDOXUSRS.LCK, and PARADOX.LCK files (Paradox and Pathway lock files) and attempts to delete them if found. Instructions

MGRTUTIL.ZIP (Zip 327K - 2/10/03)
If you currently use either Pre-, Beginning, Intermediate or Advanced Algebra PLATO courseware and will be upgrading to the new Algebra courseware, the Data Migration utility automatically runs to ensure that student performance information will migrate when you install the new courseware. For Pathways 4.2 systems only; this patch restores the missing filter button in Class Management > Assignments. Instructions
SEEWSID.BAT (File 1K - 1/9/03)
Run this utility at any Pathways Windows 95/98/ME or Windows NT/2000/XP workstation to view its ID number. The workstation's ID number (WSID) correlates with the workstation number in the Pathways error logs, which are useful for troubleshooting. You can also use this utility to determine if your Pathways workstation is a standalone or networked workstation. Instructions
SETPERMS.ZIP (Zip 6K - 11/20/03)
Run this utility if you have installed your PLATO Pathways system and courseware and want to reduce the time it takes to set up or configure your Windows 2000/XP workstations to run PLATO Pathways. Instructions
SISIMPRT.ZIP (Zip 595K - 12/11/03)
For Pathways 4.X systems, the Student Information System (SIS) Utility helps you batch enroll students in PLATO Pathways. The utility converts the input file you create and outputs a batch enrollment file for Pathways to use. Instructions and User's Guide (PDF 347K - 8/8/05)
UNLOCKLIC.ZIP (Zip 478K - 6/17/03)
For Pathways 3.9.3, 4.0, and 4.1 systems on Windows 98SE/ME and Windows 2000/XP; the Unlock License Utility removes license files that are still in use if a student does not exit Pathways properly. Run this utility if the message "no license available for this activity" displays on a student's workstation. Instructions

For Pathways 3.9.X and higher, a User Table Fix Tool that helps you resolve key violations that may occur when you consolidate reports. Follow the attached instructions before you use this tool. Instructions
WR0LIB.CD3 (File 539K - 5/28/02)
An update for Reading for Information lessons for Pathways 3.9.X or 4.0 systems that have had the Courseware Version 9.0 update installed. In the Courseware v.9.0 update, some Reading for Information lessons do not show what the user types in to answer a fill-in question. The answer is still entered and judged correctly, but not being able to see the answer displayed on the screen is confusing to users. Running the WR0LIB.CD3 update solves the problem. Instructions

Pathways 4.2 Help files for teachers and administrators; download this file to your desktop and you will be able to access the entire Pathways Help system without being logged in to Pathways.
