PLE Batch Enrollment Field Restrictions

Dropdown list values:

In a PLE batch enrollment file, any fields that have dropdown lists on the Edit User Profile are restricted to the values available on the dropdown list for that field, or they may be left blank. For example, allowed values for Socioeconomic Status are Free and Reduced Lunch, None and Unknown.

Note:  Be sure to use the values exactly as they appear on the dropdown lists.   For example, African American is designated as African-American within the Ethnic Origin dropdown.  Leaving out the hyphen will cause students to be enrolled but the field value missing.

AYP Reporting Category, Language, and Educational Program allow multiple values to be set using multiple lines; these must match the values shown in Edit User Profile next to the checkboxes for those fields.

Free text entry values:

PLATO Name (required):   Maximum of 25 characters.  Use only letters and numbers.  Spaces are not allowed anywhere in the PLATO Name. Make sure that the PLATO Name does not have any spaces or special characters ( - + = \ /  " [ { ] } . , > < ? ~ : ; ! #$%^&*@).  The one exception is that the apostrophe (') is allowed.

First Name (required), Last Name (required), and Middle Name (optional):  Maximum of 50 characters: letters, numbers, spaces, or these specific special characters:

# - \ / ' . ~ : ^ * ` @ 

Other special characters are not allowed:

( ) [ ] { } < > + = " , ; ? ! | $ % & ^

E-mail Address:  Use x @ y . z format (no spaces).  Maximum of 50 characters, with no more than 3 characters after the dot.

State ID (optional): if included, must be a 2- to 8-digit number; no non-numeric characters are allowed.

Federal ID (optional):  alphanumeric characters of any length between 1 and 25.  Hyphens are also allowed.
