How to configure the McAfee 2007 Firewall to run with Interactive Mathematics

From the desktop, double-click McAfee SecurityCenter.

From the McAfee SecurityCenter window, click Internet & Network, and then click Configure.

From Internet & Network Configuration, click Advanced.

Under Firewall, click Program Permissions.

Under Program Permissions, ensure that bd_rm.exe, iss.exe, as3_ins.exe, and contmov.exe are set to Full Access. If the programs do not have this setting, select the appropriate program, and then click Grant Full Access.

If as3_ins.exe and contmov.exe are listed under Program Permissions, the will also need full access. Repeat Step 5 for each of these programs. as3_ins.exe will appear if you run Patchmanager, and contmov.exe will appear if you have tried to save content to the hard drive.

Click OK.
