ERROR: "Internet Explorer encountered problem; needs to close" when running lesson

Issue When you try to run a lesson, the following message displays: "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. Send report?"

Before you download and install the Flash player, make sure you have administrator privileges on the workstation, which is required in order for the installation to succeed.  You can then download and install the Flash Player from Adobe's web site.  

 

Note:   As with many installations, this installation process may include options that are selected by default to install additional applications, such as an anti-virus or toolbar program; read each screen and select the options that make sense for you.   It is not required to install these additional applications to run PLATO content.
