To add users to a class in PLE:

  1. Administrator:   Under Account Administration, select Classes & Assignments.   Use the filters to find the class, then select Go.

Teacher:   Under Classroom Administration, select My Classroom.   Please note that you can add users to a class only if you are a teacher in that class.

  2. From the drop-down list to the right of the class name, select Edit Class Membership.   A pop-up window should appear.   If it does not, you will need to disable any pop-up blockers that are active.

  3. Search for new members to add:   Specify an optional Keyword > Select a school, a grade range and a class. > Select Go. The names of the users who match the filter settings will appear below. Select the name of a user, then select Add.

Note: Although you may see only the students in the grade specified for the class, you can add students in any grade to the class as long as you specify the grade range needed.

  4. To select more than one name at a time: Select one name, then press and hold the Ctrl key while you select additional names.> Select Add.

  5. To select a group of consecutive names on the list: Select the first name you want to add. > Press and hold the Shift key while dragging the mouse to the last name to add. You can also just press and hold the Shift key and select the last name to add, which will highlight all the names in between. > Select Add.
