Published courseware appears in System Management but not in Learning Resource Management

Reinstall the courseware

Before you uninstall or reinstall courseware:

• If you are running PLATO Pathways on a network, make sure you are logged on to the network with full administrator rights or permissions.
  
  
• If you are reinstalling the courseware on a standalone or networked Windows 2000/XP workstation, make sure you are logged on to the workstation as an administrator user.

Temporarily disable all antivirus or security software programs, and close all open programs.

How to uninstall courseware:

1. Ensure there are no users on the system.
   
   
2. Sign on to PLATO Pathways as an administrator.
   
   
3. Go to System Management.
   
   
4. Click the Courseware tab.
   
   
5. Select the courseware you want to uninstall, being very careful to make the correct selection.
   
   
6. Click Remove Courseware, which will uninstall the courseware you selected.

How to reinstall courseware:

1. Sign on to PLATO Pathways as an administrator.
   
   
2. Insert the courseware installation CD.
   
   
3. Click System Management > Courseware > Install Courseware.
   
   
4. Navigate to the package (.pkg) file on the courseware installation CD.  
   

   A message saying that the courseware is already installed displays.
   
   

5. When prompted to do a custom installation, Click Yes.
   
   
6. Double-click the greyed-out check mark next to the curriculum you wish to reinstall. (If it was previously uninstalled it will be a blank checkbox.)
   
   
7. Answer "Yes" to the reinstall question.

   The checkbox should turn white. Repeat steps 6-7 for each curriculum to be reinstalled.
   
   

8. The curriculum will be uninstalled, then reinstalled.
   
   
9. Insert the courseware CDs as you are prompted to do so.
   
   

How to install user licenses:

1. Sign on to PLATO Pathways as an administrator.
   
   
2. Insert the courseware installation CD.
   
   
3. Click System Management > Courseware > Install Courseware.
   
   
4. Navigate to the (UserLmt.lic) file on the courseware installation CD (or other media obtained from PLATO Support Services).
   
   
5. Click Open.
   

   A message stating "License Installation was successful" should display.
   
   

6. To verify that your licenses are installed, click Help (above the blue "Exit" door). Select About.... A dialog box will display and "User License: xx" will reflect the number of licenses you just installed; for example, "User License: 30."
