Pathways startup stops while copying a file into WINPLATO folder

Issue You are starting PLATO Pathways at multiple workstations and it appears to hang while copying the POD_DB.MB or another file into the WINPLATO folder.
Cause Network delay copying large file POD_DB.MB
Resolution Replace files in the WINPLATO folder under PWAY from the Pathways CD

Details

Cause

POD_DB.MB,at 12.8 MB is the largest of the files to be copied from the \PWAY\WINPLATO folder on the server to the local C:\WINDOWS\PWAY\WINPLATO folder on the workstation. This delay or lockup may be due to problems on the network.

Resolution

If the problem persists after restarting the workstations, try to replace the file being copied (POD_DB.MB or other file) from the \ PWAY \ WINPLATO folder on the file server with the file from the PLATO Pathways CD-ROM, in the \ PWAY \ PWAY \ WINPLATO folder. If that fails, restart the file server.
