Unable to open the PDF documents on the Achieve Now support materials CD

Issue When you try to to open documents such as progress tests, progress checks, guides, and PLATO indexes located on the Math and Reading Support Materials CDs for Achieve Now, they do not open.
Resolution Turn off setting in Adobe Reader to open PDF documents in an Internet browser

Resolution

Configure Adobe Reader to open documents so that no Internet connection is required:

Note: The steps required may vary somewhat for different versions of Adobe Reader.

  1. Launch Adobe Reader from your Start Menu or a desktop shortcut.
  2. Click Edit > Preferences.
  3. Click on Internet on the left side of the window.
  4. Uncheck the Display PDF in browser box.


  5. Click OK.
  6. Close Adobe Reader.
  7. Launch the PDF file again and it should open the file in Adobe Reader.
