ERROR: "No concurrent licenses available for this activity"

Resolution

Student:   Contact your teacher or administrator.

Teacher:   Contact an account administrator.

Account Administrator:   The message indicates that there are no concurrent licenses available for a student to run a lesson in a particular license bundle.  

There may be some licenses in use by students who did not log out of the system properly and have not yet been logged out automatically by the system due to inactivity.   To log these students out and free up any licenses they may have in use:

1. Search for the class in Classes and Assignments.  
   
   
2. View the list of students in the class.  
   
   
3. If you see Yes in the Log On Status column, and the student is no longer working on the system, click the arrow next to the student's name and select Log Out User from the dropdown menu.  
   
   
4. In the pop-up window that says "Are you sure you want to log out this user?," select OK.   The status should change to No and any license in use (there may be none) by the student will released.

Next, review your current courseware license distribution; see this solution for details.   If all available licenses have been distributed  to one or more other classes or schools, then you may wish to change your license distribution by:  

• redistributing licenses among schools or classes, or
  
  
• distribute some of all of the licenses at a district level, or
  
  
• leave some or all of the licenses undistributed, making them available to anyone in the account.
